Standalone Attendance Control System Configuration

This is the type of configuration for a small organization. You may install the system on your Windows PC or tablet, and configure it as a single unit machine. Alternatively, you can install NCheck Bio Attendance on an Android device, or an iOS device. Our customers welcome this option in particular since it involves no additional expenses due to purchasing biometric capture hardware.

Client Server Attendance Control System Configuration

You may prefer a network configuration with one attendance server vs. multiple attendance client machines installed. Clients are configured to communicate continuously with the server and perform all attendance management operations online. This way, the clients do not need to keep any data locally. The server takes care of all the attendance management and biometric recognition operations. Hence, the client server configuration requires more resources on the server side as opposed to diminished load on the client machines.

Network - limited Attendance Control System Configuration

This is an extension of the client server configuration where clients work as offline attendance terminals. Those can perform employee time and attendance clocking even without connection to the server. To perform biometric recognition and attendance control of the employees, the clients keep a minimum of data. In the offline mode, the client machine does the recognition job itself. After reestablishing network connectivity, the client synchronizes attendance system data with the server. The network-limited version of the attendance control system allows clients to keep additional data locally. Being able to do attendance management and biometric recognition independently requires additional storage and processing capabilities.

BYOD configuration

In network attendance system configuration, Employees can use their personal Android / iOS devices for clocking attendance. This requires installation of NCheck Personal ID that is configured to work with attendance control system server. Only the registered employee may use NCheck Personal ID. BYOD configuration requires minimum resources, because the server performs all the operations including biometric extraction and verification.

Advanced Attendance Control System Configuration

You can extend the network configuration by adding a mix of online and offline attendance control clients, and personal attendance devices that run NCheck Personal ID.

  • 1.5 GHz clock rate recommended for convenient performance.
